The MPTN Golf Tournament will provide financial support for educational, cultural enrichment, and expeditionary learning of Mashantucket Pequot Tribal students and to further the goal of providing access to education for all American Indians.


Special Guest - Ramiro Mendoza


Ramiro was born in Los Santos Panama. He left Panama in the early 90’s with a dream to play Major League Baseball. His journey included a stop in Norwich CT. in 1995. In May of 1996 his dream was realized with his first Major League appearance, a start and a win with the New York Yankees. His versatility enabled him to start or relieve. When Ramiro finished his playing career he had 4 World Series Championships with the Yankees (1996, 1998-2000) and 1 with the Boston Red Sox (2004). He was the first player since Babe Ruth to have one from each team. He had a record of 59-40 with 16 saves during the regular season. In post season play, he had a record of 2-2 with a 2.51 ERA. He was the winning pitcher in Game 3 of the 98 world series. He now does private Pitching instructing and is the President of “Mendoza55”, apparel and embroidering business in the Tampa FL. area.
